Sinopsis

En el estudio de Fausto el caniche se transforma en el diablo. Fausto hace un trato con él: el demonio hará todo lo que Fausto quiera mientras esté en la tierra, y a cambio Fausto servirá al demonio en la otra vida.

El trato incluye que, si durante el tiempo que Mefistófeles esté sirviendo a Fausto éste queda complacido tanto con algo que aquel le dé, al punto de querer prolongar ese momento eternamente, Fausto morirá en ese instante.
